 Tehran, Sept 27, IRNA – Iran was the second exporter of crude oil to Turkey during the second three months of 2015.

By providing one fourth of Turkeys need to oil, Iran has turned into the second exporter of crude oil to that country during the mentioned period.
Turkey imported 488.7 thousand barrels of oil from Iran per day during that period, which shows 72.1 thousand barrels per day increase compared with the first three months of 2015.
Iraq is the first oil exporter to Turkey; however, it is predicted that Iran will increase oil exports to Turkey in the next months due to sabotage acts being conducted in the Iraqi cities that have posed obstacles for the oil exchange.
Lifting anti-Iran sanctions in the near future will provide good opportunity for exporting more crude oil to Turkey.
At present, Turkey is the only European state that buys oil from Iran.
On July 14, Iran and worlds six major powers known as the Group 5+1 (the US, Britain, France, Germany, Russia and China) concluded over a decade-long negotiations on Tehran’s nuclear activities which led to the signing of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
