Head of Iran Mines House Mohammad-Reza Bahraman said on Tuesday that today, the Islamic Republic of Iran witnesses foreign investors and private sector voicing readiness to invest in mines and minig industries and welcome their investment. Iran welcomes foreign investment in mining sector
Bahraman told a meeting of the representatives of Tehran Chamber of Commerce and ambassadors of nine European countries that Iranian mines law allows foreign investots to have a 100 percent share in the exploration, extraction and processing sectors. He said in the years 2016 18, the mining sector, including the exploration, extraction and processing, would be given priority for investment by the Iranian government. He added that products of Iranian mines and mining industries are not for domestic consumption, rather, regarding the need of the neighboring states with a total population of 400 million, there is a very favorable market for each investor. He went on to say that since the start of its activities, the 11th government has focued on improvement of Iranian macro economy and so far it has been able to control inflation.
